About FireSuper

FireSuper was first established in 1987 by The New Zealand Fire Service Commission, as the sponsor and the New Zealand Professional Firefighters Union. While FireSuper has changed over the years, our core purpose remains the same – to help Fire and Emergency employees enjoy retirement and have financial peace of mind.

Today, FireSuper supports members financially by offering investment choice (including the Life Cycle option), early withdrawal benefits in certain circumstances, and the ability to leave your funds in FireSuper if you leave Fire and Emergency.

THE TRUSTEE DIRECTORS

FireSuper is managed by FireSuper Trustee Limited. There are seven directors of the trustee, three appointed by Fire and Emergency, three appointed by the New Zealand Professional Firefighters Union and an independent trustee director appointed by the other trustee directors.
